Ria Jade's "Snowflakes"

Ria Jade, an award winning Vancouver area artist, created this song about Mental Health.

This is what she had to say about her inspiration for the video (from her Youtube channel):

So in support of World Mental Health Day (October 10) I decided to do something special because this is a cause that is very close to my heart. I battled anorexia for two years and more importantly have been dealing with anxiety since I was a kid that worsened two years ago and is something I still struggle with to this day. What made me stronger was not only the love I received from my friends and family, but the fact that I was not alone. With this music video, I hope that I can touch the lives of others and inspire them to stay strong and be open about themselves, and most of all know that they are not alone and that help is always there.

Amanda Todd inspired the message of this song. She is a snowflake, just as we all are: unique, beautiful and strong! Don't let anyone tell you otherwise!

I wrote this song about the struggles of depression, anxiety, and going through an eating disorder, and being able to fight it and become the warrior we are all born to be. This is also the first directorial job that I've ever done so hopefully it works out!

Thank you so much to everyone who's shown their support for mental health, whether it's by wearing purple on October 10, being there for someone for late night calls, or simply just listening. You make a difference.

Thank you so much as well to all the cast and crew that helped make this possible!
